Manual removal of XP Antivirus 2009

Antivirus 2009 is an anti-spyware program that uses false spyware results to lure you to purchase its full version. Below is a list of Antivirus 2009 manual removal instructions and Antivirus 2009 components listed to help you remove.

Step 1: Stop unwanted process running in background.

1. Click Start then Run and type taskmgr.exe
2. Click on Process tab in Task Manager and locate the following Image name(s).
   • v2009.exe
   • Antivirus2009.exe
   • Antivirus 2009.lnk
   • AV2009Install.exe
   • av2009[1].exe
   • AV2009Install_880405[1].exe
   • AV2009Install_880042[2].exe
   • AV2009Install_880042[1].exe
   • AV2009Install_77052203[2].exe
3. Highlight the Image name and click End Process to Stop.
4. Close Task Manager.

Step 2:- Delete the suspicious file(s) or folder(s) from the computer

1. Click on Start and Run, type C:\Program Files
2. Locate the following folder and Delete
   • Antivirus 2009
3. close the Window.

Step 3:- Uninstall the Suspicious program from the computer.

1. Click on Start and Run, type appwiz.cpl, press Enter.
2. Locate Antivirus 2009 in Add and Remove Program.
3. Click on Remove (Uninstall) button.
4. Close Add or Remove program.
5. Restart the computer.

4. Restart the computer.
