How to install Open Office

Operating system

1. Microsoft Windows 2000 (Service Pack 2 or higher)
2. Microsoft Windows XP
3. Microsoft Windows 2003
4. Microsoft Windows Vista

RAM

1. 256 Mbytes RAM (512 MB RAM recommended)

HDD Space

1. 800 Mbytes available disk space

Screen Resolution:

1. 1024 x 768 or higher resolution with at least 256 colours
   

Software

1. Minimum Java JDK/JRE version 1.5.x is required to use Open Office application.

Step 1

Once you double click OOo 3.0.1 Win32Intel_Install_wJRE_en-US.exe, it will display a 'Thank you for downloading Open Office. org 3' dialogue box which prompts you to click next.

Step 2

Once you click next, it will display the path and the folder where Open Office will be installed. Click unpack to continue the installation process.

Step 3

Once you click unpack it will start extracting the installation files.

Step 4

After extracting the installation files, it will prompt you to click next.

Step 5

Once you click next it will prompt you to type the username and organization.

Step 6

Once you click next after typing username and organization, it will prompt you to select the installation type i.e. custom and complete, select complete and click next to continue the installation process.

Step 7

Now it will install the open office files in your computer.

Step 8

Once the installation is complete click finish to complete the installation process.
